CHIO Aachen: Frank Kemperman visits Russia
Partner Country 2008 is looking forward to the Opening Ceremony
and the show programme
Guest in Russia: Frank Kemperman, General
Manager of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV),
has been in St. Petersburg for conversations. The Show Director
of the CHIO Aachen was talking about details concerning
the cooperation between this year's Partner Country Russia
and the ALRV in the course of the horse show "All-Russian
Equestrian Games".
On the occasion of a press conference, Kemperman informed
the Russian journalists about the CHIO. The World Equestrian
Festival, CHIO Aachen 2008 (June 27th - July 6th) is expecting
160 people and 60 horses from Russia at the traditional
show grounds in the Aachen Soers to form the official Opening
Ceremony on Tuesday, July 1th and likewise the show programme.
For instance the mounted escorts of the President
as well as the spectacular Troikas - the classic three-horse
carriages and a variety of traditional show programmes like
a folklore and dance group will participate. "Especially
the Opening Ceremony is going to be a varied and emotional
gala event with many highlights" promises Kemperman.

Gennady Seleznev, President of the Russian
Equestrian Federation, as well as Alexander Bortnikov, St.
Petersburg's Show Director, are enthusiastic to present
their country to the public in Aachen. Russian tourist offices
also offer trips to the region of Aachen during the CHIO.
At the same time Kemperman praised the organizers of the
St. Petersburg horse show. " The horse sport in Russia
has been developing enormously during the last few years.
The All-Russian Equestrian Games have reached international
standard and are organized on a very high level."
