Dogs prohibited for the entire duration of the CHIO Aachen 2008
Stipulation of the veterinary inspection office - with no exceptions

The longest CHIO Aachen in 40 years began yesterday. The last time the tournament was scheduled for ten days was in 1961. Once again this year the organisers pointed out that dogs are not allowed in the stadiums or along the cross-country courses. "I know that this is an unpopular decision," said Chairman of the ALRV Supervisory Board, Frank Kemperman, with regret, "but the ban on dogs is compulsory since it is one of the stipulations of the veterinary inspection office."

This stipulation applies for the entire duration of the CHIO Aachen 2008 - including Soers Sunday (June 29th) and the cross-country competitions of the eventers and the drivers on Saturday, July 5th.
