Eventing horse FRH Butts Abraxxas is the horse of the Year 2007
Reiter Revue honours the reader's favourite at the CHIO Aachen

Only 1,64 meters tall he still counts as one of the biggest in international eventing: FRH Butts Abraxxas, called Braxi. He became horse of the year 2007, a contest initiated by Reiter Revue international. His rider, Ingrid Klimke, says about Braxi: "He is a small horse with a big fighters heart." And that he proved all throughout 2007. At the European Eventing Championships in Pratoni del Vivaro where he and Ingrid Klimke fought their way to rank 10. Or in Strzegom where he won the CCI*** and in Scottish Thilestane Castle where he finished as third in a CIC***.
Fritz Butt is Braxis breeder, national coach Hans Melzer discovered him - for Ingrid Klimke. Since the age of eight FRH Butts Abraxxas' home is in Münster and is owned by Ingrid Klimke and Thomas Holtrop. His rider and faithful partner on the cross country track as well as in everyday life, Ingrid Klimke, adores her Heraldik xx-Kronenkranich xx-protégé. "He is one happy horse!"
But despite of all the good mood Klimke knows that Braxi is quite the teaser. "When he is groomed he likes to strike out. He just cannot help it. Bucking is also something he is always up for. And those are no crow hops." Ingrid Klimke laughs it away.
And he is not the first horse of Ingrid Klimkes to win Reiter Revue internationals contest. Horse of the year 1999 was Windfall and in 2004 it was Sleep Late. But today it is him who receives all the credit: FRH Butts Abraxxas. All good things come in threes - Ingrid Klimke, however, does not have to abide by this saying.
