Quadrille Championships and the Preis des Handwerks:
The District of Wesel narrowly beats Viersen and Aachen

9.0 for the technical execution and 9.8 for the artistic impression was the verdict of the judges - which meant the victory in the Quadrille Championships Aachen 2008 for the District of Wesel under the team leader Helmi Abeck with a total score of 18.8 points. The Wesel quadrille comprised of Julia Bruckmann, Mareike Mondrowski, Carolin von der Linde and Daniela Giesen with their mounts Chagmany NL, Baumann's Leonardo, Ferdinand und Carneval.

Last year's winners, Viersen, (Susanne Roehlen on Remington Steel, Eva-Maria Köttelwesch on Grenville, Sarah Köttelwesch on Lambique; Bianca Sopha on D'Omsor; team leader Marion Heizer) lay close behind in second place with an overall score of 18.5 points, ahead of Aachen's quartett: Led by Susanne Rueben, Sophia Kölnberger/Rondo Veneziano, Michelle Hagmann/Don Miguel, Maresa Cordugas/Riverdance and Paulina Krafft/ Desperado trotted into the dressage arena of the Deutsche Bank Stadium.
