First in the starting list and first in the results list:
The US rider Laura Kraut wins the Miele Prize

She came, she saw and she was victorious: Laura Kraut entered the course as the first rider and recorded the highest score - 65 in 61.65 seconds - in the Miele Prize, an accumulator competition with joker. The 32-year-old US-American set a very high standard with the 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding Likido and proved that the first riders can also finish first too at the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen.

The Belgian rider, Niels Brynseels came second on his Belgian-bred Polidiktus van de Helle daughter, Aluna, who is only eight, with a score of 65 points in 62,50 seconds. The 23-year-old, who was the reserve rider for the Belgian team at the European Championships in 2007, was voted Belgian's talented young rider last year. The Irish rider Cian O'Connor took 63.31 seconds on the 9-year-old KWPN gelding Splendour - which sufficed to come third in the rankings.
