Final of the Sparkassen-Youngsters-Cup
Beezie Madden also steers Danny Boy to victory in the Final

As much jumping potential
as his father: Danny Boy did credit to his father Clinton
- second in the Grand Prix of Aachen in 2005 under Dirk Demeersman
(Belgium). After already winning the first qualification,
Beezie Madden also rode the 8-year-old Belgian gelding to
victory in the floodlit Final of the Sparkassen-Youngsters-Cup
this evening. The five participants in the jump-off kept on
beating each other's time - and Madden, last to start, even
managed to knock 3.1 seconds off the time of Holger Wulschner
(Passin), who had saddled the 8-year-old FRG Little Liberty
(0/50.73). Carsten-Otto Nagel (Wedel) came third on the 8-year-old
Holstein stallion, Cazaro.
As well as prize-money, Beezie Madden also won
a small four-legged aspirant for the future: the colt Cornetto,
whose great-grandfather was also Clinton. Cornetto's sire
is the stallion Cristallo, who is a son of Cornet Obolensky,
the Clinton son that is successful in international sport
under Marco Kutscher.
