I want to sell my horse at the CHIO-Auction.
Whom do I have to contact?

You can obtain information about how you can offer your horse for the CHIO Auction at the Rheinische Pferdestammbuch e.V.,
Tel.: +49-2166-6219110; +49-171-4743641 (Mr. Keus); +49-172-2412508 (Mr. Spoo).

The inspection and selection will take place on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 2.00 p.m. in the Pferdezentrum Wickrath (Rheinisches Pferdestammbuch).
During the selection procedure, the potential auction horses will first be registered, then presented under the saddle (if necessary with test rider), finally horses will be shown at hand.

All horses of breeding associations belonging to the WBFSH can be registered: 3-8 year-old dressage horses, 4-8 year-old jumping horses, 3-8 year-old riding ponies as well as riding horse foals born in 2008.
Please note that only horses with a complete vaccination record (tetanus, influenza, equine herpes, fungal skin infection) will be accepted for the auction. Horse passports need to be presented to the selection jury on April 14.

Who is responsible for selecting the collection and according to which criteria are they being chosen?

The experts Peter Weinberg (Jumping) and Ton de Ridder (Dressage) as well as Martin Spoo (Rhineland Stud Book) will select horses that demonstrate the necessary qualities to become top class horses.
These young horses, aged up to eight, have to fulfill special demands regarding their type, quality of movement, jumping potential and state of health. Prior to the auction all of the selected horses will be subject to numerous veterinary inspections and will continue to be professionally trained.

Will general purpose horses be on offer too?
What sort of price category will the auctioned horses fall under?

The standards laid down for the collection are above average. The selection includes first class bred young horses that are destined to fulfil superior tasks. Depending on the qualifications of the animals, the prices will range from between 25,000 Euros and 250,000 Euros.
